Hi, I'm Tonia (Nia) Smith, owner and operator of Power House. I am a native of Portsmouth, VA. I am certified with BPI (Building Performance Institute) for Infiltration & Duct Leakage. My education is in Architectural Engineering & Construction Project management. I am an alumni of Tidewater Community College. I also hold a combination code inspector licence with ICC (International Code Council) to perform building code inspections.
I have over 10 years experience as a construction project manager, facilities manager, and building code inspector for multiple municipalities.
I founded Power House in 2023 to fill the demand in our area for blower door and duct blast testers. I provide testing for homeowners, builders, and HVAC technicians that do not have access to testing equipment. I serve customers on both large and small projects. I look forward to meeting you on site!
